About Care Resources International

Christian pastoral-care resources, consultation and tools.

Care Resources International LLC develops Christian pastoral-care resources, consultation and tools that help individuals, churches and ministry leaders respond thoughtfully to life concerns. CRI is led by Dr. Brent Lindquist.

A Christian pastoral-care orientation

We want to help people bring everyday concerns to God with thoughtful pastoral care, biblical perspective and practical next steps, and to help pastors and caregivers who walk alongside them.

Brent describes his mission simply: “to help people discover how their knowledge of Scripture—and its daily application—can deepen their walk with Christ, strengthen their prayer life, and support their spiritual maturity.”

Our resources complement the care of pastors, churches and qualified professionals. They do not replace it, and they do not offer medical, psychological, legal or emergency care.

What CRI offers

  • The Pastoral Caregiving Assistant

PCGA is an AI assistant, not a live pastor or counselor. Describe a concern and it offers Christian pastoral-care ideas, relevant Scripture and a suggested prayer. It blends general emotional health and growth with a conservative evangelical framework, for growth within a biblically based church community.

Dr. Brent Lindquist

Brent leads Care Resources International LLC. He holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has been involved in member care since 1975. Over four decades with Link Care Center in Fresno, California, he served as a licensed psychologist, clinical director, executive director and President, and he became President Emeritus in 2020.

Today Brent serves as a Pastor and Missionary with JARON Ministries International. He consults with churches and missions in spiritual transformation and in member care and development, and he mentors young leaders. With attorney Theresa Lynn Sidebotham he co-created The Rock and the Hard Place, a blog on member care issues and their legal side.

Technology has been part of Brent's work for a long time. In the 1980s he worked on early computer-based tools for psychological assessment, and in the early 2000s he joined a team in Cambodia developing an online learning platform for Business as Mission. He developed the Pastoral Caregiving Assistant, and he consults with Gloo, Inc. on guidelines, guardrails and onboarding for pastoral AI tools.

He approaches every task, in his words, “with a bit of whimsy, humor, and wonder.”
