Who provides PCGA
PCGA was developed by Brent Lindquist and is offered by Care Resources International.
It runs on a platform provided and operated for us by Manifest Automation,
our technology provider, at console.manifestautomation.com. The chat window
you see on our pages is loaded from that platform. Manifest Automation’s
servers are hosted in San Jose, California, in the United States, and its
traffic passes through Cloudflare.
When our pages load
Because the PCGA chat window is built into most pages of this website, your
browser connects to Manifest Automation’s platform when those pages
load, even if you never open PCGA. That connection shares your IP address,
browser details, the size of your browser window and the address of the
page you are viewing, and the platform keeps an hourly count of the pages on
which its chat window loaded, under the random identifier described under
Cookies and browser storage. The chat window loads its
fonts from Google Fonts, so Google also receives your IP address and browser
details.
What PCGA stores
- your messages and PCGA’s replies, with the date and time of each;
- the language detected in your messages and an English translation of them;
- the address of the page where you used PCGA, including the website, the page path and any campaign tags in the link;
- a short summary of the conversation, suggested follow-up questions, and labels describing it, such as its topic, its purpose, whether your question was answered, and its overall tone;
- usage details such as message counts.
Conversations are linked to a random identifier, not to your name, unless
you choose to give your name or contact details. The platform’s
providers also keep request logs (IP address, browser type, language
settings and page address without its query string) and error reports for
security and troubleshooting.
How AI processes your messages
PCGA is an AI assistant, not a live pastor or counselor. To produce a reply,
your messages and recent conversation history are sent to OpenAI. OpenAI is
also used to decide how to respond, to translate messages and detect their
language, to create search-index entries for messages, to identify commonly
asked questions, and to summarize and categorize conversations (for example
by topic and tone) so that we can understand how PCGA is used. OpenAI states
that, by default, data sent through its API is not used to train its models
and may be kept for up to 30 days to monitor for abuse.
If you share your contact details in a conversation
PCGA may offer to put you in touch with us. If you give your name and an
email address or phone number in a conversation, they are saved with your
conversation, and our team receives an email with your contact details, a
link to the conversation and an AI-generated summary of it, so that we can
follow up.
If you email yourself a transcript
If you ask PCGA to email your conversation, Manifest Automation sends the
full transcript from [email protected], through Amazon Web
Services, to the address you enter. That address is not saved to your chat
profile. Please check it carefully, because the transcript goes to whatever
address is entered.
Who can read PCGA conversations
People authorized by Care Resources International, such as Brent
Lindquist, can read conversations through the platform’s management
console. They may do so to understand how PCGA is used, to check that its
responses are appropriate, and to follow up when you ask us to. Manifest
Automation personnel can access conversations to provide support, maintain
the service and keep it secure. Service providers process conversations as
described in this notice. We do not publish your conversations or use them
for advertising.
Deleting a conversation
You can delete a conversation from the PCGA menu. This removes the
conversation and its messages from the platform’s main database. Some
related information is not removed by that action, including:
- search-index entries for your messages, which do not contain the message text but do contain identifiers and dates;
- copies of individual questions the system has selected as commonly asked, which are not linked to your conversation;
- a translation cache, kept for up to 90 days;
- any name, email address or phone number you gave;
- emails already sent, such as transcripts or follow-up notices;
- backups and logs, and copies held by service providers, such as OpenAI’s retention of up to 30 days.
To ask us to delete your PCGA information more completely, write to us as
described under Questions and requests. We will
work with Manifest Automation to delete what can be deleted and tell you
about anything that must be kept.
